Boyce had style and time on the ball and will never forget his winner in the final.
Also this volley against Man City ! what a pitch :-)

GM Ted, I remember it well, but was living in the USA at that time, so didn't find out the result until is was printed in the newspaper the next day. Nowadays I would have been watching it on a live feed, how times have changed!

Ted

Ronnie Boyce, how good was and what was his playing style?

Dad always spoke fondly of him and as a nipper I remember talking with him as he loaded spuds at his parents grocers somewhere at the back of Central Park - nice bloke I recall.

Players weights surely, or even Turf cigs (they were the ones with a horse on the packet) I was 22 back then and the wife was preggers with our Daughter, not time and no money for football.

Ahh yes, the good old days, packed in like sardines on the terraces and what an atmosphere. My memories of these times are that I normally had no voice for 2 or 3 days after each match.

Re: 52 Years Ago Today ....
Good memories Ted. Thanks for that. But come, you weren't smoking back then were you ? In my book you would only have been 5 and a bit.

What were they Cadets, Number six or Park Drive?
